Oops, we did it again…
Hey folks,
Well gosh, another ARIA Award. We could hardly believe it. Thank you SOOO much to the ARIA voters!!
Thanks also to our manager Stu; to everyone at ABC Music in particular Nat, Robert, Peta and Basil; to our producer Shane O’Mara; to our utterly fabulous band Bedge, Ben & Brett and to all our past band members; to all the incredible musicians who played on our record; and lastly a HUGE thank you to the radio stations, music writers and music fans who support the kind of music that doesn’t sell advertising.
To celebrate, our label has dropped the price of all three of our (ARIA winning!) records for a short time on iTunes, bless them.

Back from a little break
Hi friends,
Well we’ve been on a little break but here we are again. Taasha’s darling little boy Finley is 3 months old now (check out our facebook page for pics) and Tristan’s been propping up bars across Melbourne. We’ve got a show coming up in our glorious home town Adelaide in a few weeks though, yippee!
Earth Station is a new festival run by the people behind Womad, and we’re very excited to be playing there on the Saturday. For more details visit their site here.
We have more to announce soon so stay tuned.

Sometimes the Stars align
Howdy all,
Ooh goody, our “Sometime the Stars” clip is Video of the Week on iTunes Australia this week. This means it’ll be free to download for the week so you can watch it at home and share it with your friends, yay! Follow the link here.
In other news, The Audreys are the “Max Introduces” artist for the month of April on Max TV. Keep an eye out for the “Sometimes the Stars” and “Troubles Somehow” film clips while you’re at the gym.
Lastly folks, raise your glasses to the fabulous team behind the animation as they have some exciting news. “Sometimes the Stars” has been selected for screening at the prestigious Annecy International Animated Film Festival in France, among other great festivals. When he was finally calm enough to make coherent sense over the telephone, producer Luke Jurevicius exclaimed that this was “frickin’ AWESOME!!” Well done all.
That’s all the news that’s fit to print for now gang. See you ’round the traps…

Animated Film “Sometimes the Stars”
Howdy friends,
We’re very pleased to announce that the incredible animated short film that accompanies our track “Sometimes the Stars” has finally landed on the interweb!
Fresh from acclaimed screenings at the Adelaide Film Festival direct to you, produced by Adelaide’s own AFI winner Luke Jurevicius and directed by Ari Gibson & Jason Pamment, the film is about a lost girl’s journey through a surreal landscape and her yearning to make a connection in a distant yet strangely familiar world. It’s gorgeous, evocative, heart-breaking and incredibly beautiful. (Note: we can say all that coz we’re not in it!) You can see it in full HD glory on our youtube channel right here www.youtube/theaudreysmusic.
While you’re there be sure and check out the “Making Of”. It’s got lots of behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with the talented (and very sexy!) geeks behind the film.
Oh, and if you’re in Melbourne or surrounds come along to our last live show for a while (Taasha’s little baby bump is not so little anymore) at the Moomba Festival on Friday March 11th. Visit the Moomba site for more details.
Musically yours,
The Audreys
Happy New Year
We hope you’ve all settled into the new year nicely having emerged relatively unscathed from the end of year festivities.
Thanks so much to those who came out to our shows on our “Sometimes the Stars”. From gorgeous old theatres and sweaty clubs through to the howling monkeys of the Adelaide Zoo it sure was a crazy end to the decade. You can check out a bunch of photos on our gallery page.

We’re very pleased to announce the release of our brand new animated music video for the title track to our third record “Sometimes the Stars”. It’ll be screening for the first time at the Adelaide Film Festival in March, for more details and tickets visit the Festival’s website here.
An incredible team of Adelaide based artists and animators have been working tirelessly for months to create this beautiful short film. We love it and we know you will too. In the meantime you’ll find the clip for “Troubles Somehow” along with a special behind the scenes making-of short film on our very own youtube channel right here.
We’re also very excited to be playing a special intimate show at the Speigeltent in The Garden of Unearthly Delights as part of the Adelaide Fringe Festival. Tickets are strictly limited, head here for more info and bookings. Melbourne fans need not worry as we’ve got a couple of summer festivals coming up in that fair city, check our tour page for more details. Giddy-up!!
After that we’ll be taking a break so Taash can concentrate on bringing her new little Audrey into the world. Yep, if you didn’t already know, she’s expecting a bub in early July and here at Audreys HQ we couldn’t be more excited.
Lotsa love,
The Audreys xx
Hello lovelies,
Well we’ve been very busy and slightly reclusive, but the result is our new album “Sometimes The Stars” and a tour to celebrate. We’ve also had some new photos taken and a video recorded, so have a look on our facebook page for some behind the scenes shots.
The writing of the record was interspersed with a backpacking jaunt through India, a tequila-soaked trip to Los Angeles, and a determination to get back to where it all started with a focus on the song writing partnership of Taasha Coates and Tristan Goodall.
Once in the studio we had the great privilege of working with some wonderful musicians including Tim Rogers, jazz pianist Paul Grabowsky, the boys from Tripod and Michael Barker of John Butler Trio fame. We were of course working again under the deft hand of producer, engineer and friend Shane O’Mara.
We’ll be taking the brand new album on the road, playing all states and many regional areas across Australia throughout October, November and December. It’s been over 2 years since we’ve seen this much of the country and we’re bringing a fabulous new backing band to guarantee a good time. Woo! See all the dates below.
Joining us as our special guest at most shows will be piano playing indie-pop songwriter Nicholas Roy. Nicholas burst onto the scene earlier this year with Triple J fave “It’s All My Fault” and will be releasing his debut album to coincide with this national tour.
Pre-order the new album from Sanity or JB Hi Fi from 27th Aug and receive a limited edition 2CD digipak, on release, featuring a special live 4 track Acoustic EP recorded earlier this year at The Troubadour in Brisbane during Taasha and Tristan’s duo tour.
Pre-order the album through iTunes from 27th Aug and receive an exclusive live 4 track digital Acoustic EP, on release, recorded at Notes in Sydney on the same tour.
We are also extra chuffed to be releasing the album on vinyl to coincide with the CD release. So no waiting for all you record junkies.
We can’t wait to see y’all on the road. Keep an eye on our facebook and twitter as we’ll be asking for suggestions on the best places to eat, drink and sleep from locals as we make our way up, down and around the countryside.
Much love,
The Audreys

Hi folks,
With 5 weeks in the Top 50 (and counting) and hoards of cracking reviews, we’re feeling pretty relieved to be over the second album bump. Big love to you for buying it, playing it to your friends and leaving all those sweet messages on our myspace and guestbook.
Can’t talk long because we’re still halfway through our national tour. A huge thanks to all the folks who are coming out to our shows and helping to make them so memorable. We’re having a ball.
By the way – our show at the Civic Hotel in Perth has been cancelled, the venue are putting an end to all live music. Come along to the Fly by Night in Freo instead
