The Audreys Announce Vinyl Launch Shows
Presented by Groupie Magazine
www.groupie.com.au
Hi Folks,
We're happy to bring you all some big news from Camp Audreys.
Both of our records are about to be released on limited edition gate-fold vinyl. Not since Taasha tenderly unwrapped her deluxe edition of Michael Jackson's Thriller in 1985 and Tristan discovered his dad's secret stash of Creedence records in the back shed have we been THIS excited. Rejoice, audiophiles, dust off the old bang & olufsen and settle into your favourite armchair as The Audreys go analogue.
The albums will be available from your favourite Aussie record store and online through our website from Friday 10 July 2009, or you can pre-order now right here!! Be quick, the initial pressing is limited to 500 copies.
To celebrate, we'll be playing some extra special shows in August. Here are the dates:
THUR 20 AUG The Basement, Sydney, NSW
FRI 21 AUG The Governor Hindmarsh, Adelaide, SA
SAT 22 AUG Northcote Social Club, Melbourne, VIC
SUN 23 AUG Northcote Social Club, Melbourne, VIC*
*2nd show just announced
At each show we'll be playing two sets, with songs from ‘Between Last Night & Us’ and ‘When The Flood Comes’ mixed in with a few cheeky covers and some new material. We've also hand-picked some vinyl-lovin' DJ's to fill your ears with your favourite roots-rock between sets and help set the scene for a beautiful night.
Tickets for all three shows go on sale Monday 1 June, check our tour page for more details.
That's not all, we want all you arty folk to get involved. Through our friends at Groupie Magazine we are running a poster design competition for these special shows. This is an opportunity for emerging artists to showcase their talent by interpreting our sound into artwork.
Visit www.groupie.com.au for more details. Competition closes Monday 29 June and we'll be judging the entries ourselves to decide the winner, so good luck!
We'll see you at the bar,
The Audreys xx

FRI 6th MAR CMC Rocks the Snowies, Thredbo, NSW
SAT 7th MAR WOMADelaide, Adelaide, SA
SUN 8th & MON 9th MAR Port Fairy Folk Festival, Port Fairy, VIC
After we've recovered from this litle outbreak of festival madness we'll be settling down in earnest to write our third record. We'll keep you up to date on progress and rest assured we are not expecting any "difficult second album" flashbacks.
Now here's some good news for our friends near and far. You can now digitally download our entire catalogue (yep all TWO albums) from your favourite purveyor of online sounds, and you don't have to be in Australia! Visit our digital store here, or try your local iTunes or equivalent.
In other news, Lyndon Gray our esteemed bass player and dear friend, has left The Audreys to pursue his many other musical projects. I'm sure you'll all join us in wishing him the greatest success in all his endeavours.
And finally, coming soon - The Audreys on your turntable! Yep, we're having both of our records pressed on vinyl. Keep an eye out all you audiophiles.
The Audreys xx
